Happy July 4th!

Homeland Security Report Lists ‘Liberty Lovers’ As Terrorists

A new study funded by the Department of Homeland Security characterizes Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.

Independence Day?!?

You MUST go the the link & read it, and then come back. Jerry Fuhrman (linking to InfoWars) has done a great job of reducing the verbiage and highlighting the salient portions, so it’s an easy read. I will follow with my own pithy comments….

DHS spent 12 million dollars on this “study”?! To get an official imprimatur on this philosophy:

Americans who are “reverent of individual liberty” are potential TERRORISTS!

– and this is from a  report that fails completely to mention the 1993 World Trade Center bombing , while largely omitting Islamic terrorism…..

Bush started DHS, as a visible sign of government taking islamic terrorism seriously, but he allowed it to be crippled by not specifying that it was to monitor islamic terrorism. Its formation was in response to the evidence that various American law enforcement agencies kept information from each other, mostly due to turf wars, past & present.

But we see what such a broad mandate has evolved into – a raging governmental monster that goes hand-in-hand with the O’care tax-that-is-not-a-tax (except that if it isn’t, it’s unconstitutional), furiously working to immobilize the American people in a 1984-like stasis, with Big Brother as our only concern.

Independence Day, indeed…. that will come on Nov. 6, 2012.
